Transform Your Shave With Shaving Accessories

Transform Your Shave With Shaving Accessories

Our daily shave...what a chore. Bereft of proper shaving accessories, we get up, grab our can of foam or our electric razor and have at it. Speed is of the essence. We need to get it done as fast as safety allows. We may or may not splash a bit of the aftershave we got from our sister-in-law last Christmas (the sister-in-law that doesn't care for you very much). Off we go having set a new record. Only to have to repeat the process day after day.

There must be a better way. Something beyond the tugging, nicking and irritation. Something that gives us a physic reward in addition to a well groomed appearance. What if I told you that shaving can be luxurious, comforting, something that you look forward to each morning, would you believe me? Well it's true and it's called classic wet shaving.

What is classic wet shaving you may ask? Likely it's how your grandfather, his father and his father's father.... shaved. It's the old brush, soap, shaving mug routine. The process is a simple one. Put the soap in the mug, wet the soap, use the brush to work up lather and apply to your face, then shave away. Although the process is simple it's different as night and day from dry shaving or the canned foam approach. There is a level of luxury inherent in a classic wet shave that the electric razor or canned foam users can only dream of. The classic wet shave foam is thicker, heavier and most important of all it's WARM. Soap generated foam lubricates your skin and softens the whiskers more effectively. Applying it with a good shaving brush is as soft and gentle on your face as a spring breeze. Your razor doesn't dig or pull; it glides over your skin. It leaves you face smooth and clean.

Of course all shaving accessories are not created equal. You need to understand the difference between a boar and a badger hair brush. You need to find a razor that can handle a thick heavy form.

Tip: it ain't one of those multi-blade models. You need to find a soap that gives you the lather consistency and feel you're looking for. Finally, if so inclined, you need to experiment with pre and post shave oils and lotions. All well worth the little bit of time, effort and cost. Try it once and you'll be hooked.

Hey it's a hard world out there. We have to "face the man" each and every day. A bit of comfort and luxury to start the day is only our due.
