Some Myths about Exercises

1. Myth: Exercise increases your appetite, which in turn leads to weight gain.

2. Myth: You can eat more after exercise.
Truth: Eating behaviors has been built up by you over the years, exercises has nothing to do with it. So after vigorous exercise if you eat nothing you, are not satisfying your newfound hunger but simply rewarding yourself for doing some exercise.

Truth: Running or jogging is better than walking. Ten minutes of jogging or running every alternate day is more beneficial then walking. Walking also improves fitness according to doctors.
4. Myth: Drinking water between meals leads to indigestion.

5. Myth: Being a couch potato and overeating increases the waist.
Truth: More than the above stress plays a major role in increasing the waistline. Researchers at the Yale university claim that evidence suggests direct link between stress and increasing

6.Myth: Overfeeding a child does not affect his weight, instead makes him healthy and strong.
Truth: The seed of beauty and body is sowed in childhood. A fat baby will always grow up into a fat girl therefore you should always look after a child's diet right from when she is a baby.
Get your children to eat a lot of veggies and fruits.
Teach your kids to eat slowly.
If they are thirsty give them water and not aerated drinks.
Do not allow them to snack at any odd time, limit the number of snacks.
Encourage them to play games like tennis or badminton, volleyball and football. Teach them swimming, hiking and jogging. Exercise and right food will keep their bodies slim and trim.
